Using Elon Musk’s Rocket, Indonesia’s First Nano Satellite Successfully Launched | merdeka.com

womidea.com – Surya Satellite-1 (SS-1) has finally been successfully launched. Unmitigated, this nano-satellite made by Indonesia was launched using a SpaceX Falcon 9 CRS-26 rocket owned by the richest man in the world, Elon Musk.

This is known from Brin’s Instagram page, @brin_indonesia. In his statement, Falcon 9 carries out the mission of carrying cargo including the SS-1 satellite to the International Space Station (ISS).

“Successfully launched after the launch was delayed a few days ago due to unfavorable weather factors,” wrote the information.

The SS-1 mission itself is an Automatic Packet Reporting System which functions as a communication medium via satellite in short text form. This technology can be developed for disaster mitigation, remote monitoring, and emergency communications. SS-1 was developed by Surya University with the support and supervision of experts from the Satellite Technology Research Center, BRIN.

This project also received support from the Ministry of Communication and Informatics, the Indonesian Radio Amateur Organization, PT Pudak Scientific, PT Pasifik Satelit Nusantara and other stakeholders.

As with the type of satellite, Surya Satellite-1 is a satellite that weighs less than 10 kilograms. The SS-1 satellite is a pioneer of nano satellites in Indonesia. SS-1 will orbit at an altitude of 400 to 420 kilometers above the earth’s surface with an inclination of 51.7 degrees and will cross Indonesian territory 4-5 times a day.
