Studying Internet Hacking, Angga Yunanda Becomes Parno

In the film Stealing Raden Saleh, Angga Yunanda plays the role of Ucup, a student who is good at plowing and hacking websites and technology. Ucup is a good friend of the main character in the film, Piko (Iqbaal Ramadhan), a fine arts student who invites him in a plan to steal a painting by maestro Raden Saleh.

In deepening his character, Angga, who is far from being ‘digital tech savvy’, admitted that he had a lot of new experiences about the world behind technology. “I played a hacker, really big zero. It’s like I don’t know what the world of hacking is like, it’s very far away. It’s very difficult to dive. Usually when you play on a computer, what do you do, at least not a word, ha-ha…” joked Angga about his role, during an interview with Media Indonesia at Swiss Bell-Residence Kuningan, South Jakarta, Friday (15/7).

“Suddenly you have to know what coding is like, how to hack, to dive into the deep web, the dark web, it’s mind blowing. It was in one of the workshops, and it happened to be very interesting. I do a lot of research that maybe I never thought about in my life,” added the actor who plays the film Dua Garis Biru.

One of the most astonishing experiences he got during the process of deepening the film this time was the dark side of the internal world. “I was shown like one of the places on the internet that can access any CCTV. You can imagine, maybe all this time we feel safe with cctv. In fact, there are people out there who can comfortably spy on you and we don’t even realize it.”

That knowledge he admitted was enough to make him parno because imagining the dangers if the technology is used by the wrong people. He also feels that now everyone should be able to fortify themselves from the bad possibilities of misuse of internet technology. (M-1)
