Suara.com – The Panel of Judges of the South Jakarta District Court cancels the initial trial of the lawsuit pretrial proposed by cadres of the United Development Party (PPP), Nizar Dahlan, Monday (25/7/2022), today. The pretrial lawsuit was canceled after the South Jakarta District Court received a letter from KPK.
The pretrial lawsuit is related to Nizar’s request to the KPK to investigate the alleged gratification received by the Minister of National Development Planning or the Head of Bappenas, Suharso Monoarfa, regarding luxury facilities in the form of chartering private jets when visiting Medan and Aceh.
After opening the trial, the Sole Judge, Delta Tamtama, finally postponed the inaugural trial, because the respondent, the KPK, was not present. The KPK’s absence was due to the reason that it was preparing the documents needed for the trial.
Sole Judge Delta Tamtama had read a letter from the KPK requesting that the pretrial hearing be postponed.
“(KPK) requested that it be postponed for the next three weeks,” said Judge Delta in Jakarta South Jakarta District CourtMonday.
After reading the letter sent by the KPK, Judge Delta also asked for a response from the respondent.
Nizar Dahlan’s attorney, Rezekinta Nofrizal, admitted that his party objected to the three-week postponement of the trial because it was considered too long.
Hearing the objections of the applicant, the panel of judges finally gave a two-week postponement of the trial. The applicant finally accepted the decision to postpone the judge’s trial.
“The trial was postponed for two weeks. We will start on August 8 on Monday,” said the judge closing the trial.
After the trial, the petitioner, Nizar Dahlan, said he was disappointed with the postponement of the initial trial. Through his attorney, Rezekinta said delaying the KPK trial was a waste of time.
