Merdeka.com – Eradication Commission Corruption (KPK) failed to make an attempt to forcefully pick up the Regent of Central Mamberamo, Ricky Ham Pagawak (RHP) in Papua. Because it is suspected that he fled when the team arrived at the location.
“It is true, the KPK then attempted to forcefully pick up the suspect in Papua but did not find the whereabouts of the person concerned,” said Acting KPK spokesman Ali Fikri when confirmed, Saturday (16/7).
Meanwhile, the forced pick-up was carried out to examine Ricky Ham in the KPK investigation process in the bribery and gratification case at the Central Mamberamo Regency Government. But he did not answer the call twice.
“As a suspect to be present at the KPK’s Red and White building in Jakarta, Jakarta. However, the person concerned did not attend to fulfill the summons without a valid legal argumentation basis and the Investigative Team considered this a form of uncooperative action,” he said.
Ricky Ham’s absence from the examination summons, which has been sent by the KPK twice, does not provide a reason or absence from the process that has been brought up for this investigation.
“Therefore, we urge the parties concerned to cooperate in following the applicable legal process by fulfilling the summons of the investigation team,” said Ali
Therefore, Ali hopes that people who know the slightest information about Ricky Ham’s whereabouts can convey it to law enforcement officials and make arrests for Ricky Ham.
“So that anyone in the community who knows the whereabouts of the suspect can make an arrest or inform the KPK and the competent authorities,” he said.
KPK Seizes Some Documents
Previously, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) investigation team again confiscated documents allegedly related to bribery and gratification cases in the implementation of various projects in Mamberamo Tengah (Mamteng) Regency in Wamena, the capital of Jayawijaya Regency, Papua.
“It is true that the KPK investigation team has confiscated project documents and records of the flow of a sum of money allegedly flowing to parties related to this case,” said KPK spokesman Ali Fikri in a written statement to Antara, Friday (10/6).
He explained that the confiscation of the documents was carried out on Thursday (9/7) after the investigative team carried out a forced search in Wamena and the destination was the residence of the party related to the case.
Based on the findings of this evidence, the next step is to carry out analysis and confiscation and the following will be confirmed in more detail with witnesses and suspects.
Previously, Wednesday (8/6), KPK investigators carried out a forced search of two houses in the Jayapura City area.
The house is the house of the parties related to this case, which is located in Waena Village, Heram District and in Kotaraja, Abepura District, explained Ali Fikri.
A spokesman for the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) via a short message admitted that KPK investigators had named suspects in bribery and gratification cases in the implementation of various projects in Central Mamberamo.
Various statements and evidence were considered sufficient so that the suspect was named, but his party was unable to reveal further.
The suspect and the chronology of the case as well as the alleged article will be submitted after an attempt was made to forcefully arrest or detain him by the investigative team.
“KPK will always inform the public about the progress of this activity and remind various parties, especially witnesses and suspects, to be cooperative during the investigation process,” said Ali Fikri.
