Merdeka.com – Komnas HAM stated that it had questioned nine suspected mutilation perpetrators, both those detained in Timika and in Jayapura, Papua. The Head of the Komnas HAM Papua Representative Office, Frits Ramanday, admitted that the investigation of the suspects, both civilians and Brigadier 20, had been carried out.
“The investigation into the alleged mutilation was led by the Commissioner of the National Human Rights Commission of the Republic of Indonesia, Choirul Anam, since Tuesday (13/9) after meeting with the Commander of the XVII Cenderawasih Regional Military Command, Maj. TNI Muhammad Saleh Mustafa in Jayapura,” he said, Friday (16/9) night. As reported by Antara.
He admitted that during the examination of the nine suspected mutilation perpetrators there were no significant obstacles, including during the examination of three soldiers whose detention was transferred to the Cenderawasih Pomdam XVII Rutan in Wamena, Jayapura.
“Indeed there are three soldiers whose detention was transferred to Jayapura, namely Major HFD, Praka PR, and Pratu RPC,” he said.
When asked about the investigation of two soldiers who were allegedly involved in planning and receiving the distribution money, Frits admitted that neither of them had been investigated.
“Komnas HAM will reschedule the examination of the two army soldiers because they have not been named as suspects,” said Frits Ramanday.
A total of 10 suspected perpetrators of the mutilation, namely Major HF, Captain DK, Praka PR, Private RAS, Private PC, Private R, APL alias Jeck, DU, R, and RMH, but RMH is still at large. [ded]
