Merdeka.com – A daycare center in Sayama City, East Japan teaches its students to use the horn if they are left alone on the bus. This training is taught so that children can save themselves if left alone.

Quoted from The Mainichi, Thursday (15/9), the daycare center teaches its students traffic safety classes through experience.

Of the 140 children at the center, 42 from the younger grades and their guardians are participating in the exercise which will finish on Friday. This training started last Monday.

Police Sayama City participated in the exercise. They explain to the kids models of car steering and how to honk the horn until someone comes to meet you if left inside alone.

The children sat one by one on the steering wheel and honked their horns, even one child said the loud sound of the horn startled him.

“My son is usually told not to touch the steering wheel, but I feel relieved that we were able to have an experience like this,” a guardian told the Mainichi Shimbun.

This training was taught because previously a 3-year-old girl from Makinohara City, Shizouka Prefecture, Japan died after being left alone on the bus. The girl was left for 5 hours on the bus as the city heat rose above 30 degrees Celsius.
