General Andika Calls TNI AL Exercise with America Historic, This is the Reason | merdeka.com

Merdeka.com – Commander TNI General Andika Perkasa said that the Navy plans to conduct joint exercises with the US Navy involving the F-35 stealth fighter jet. In addition, the Indonesian Navy has the opportunity for joint amphibious troop exercises.

“As this year alone, we have two if I’m not mistaken the Navy. One exercise with CARAT, November, roughly, was with the United States and this is also very historical, very historic,” said Andika at Balai Samudera, Kelapa Gading, Jakarta North, in commemoration of the 77th Anniversary of the Indonesian Navy which falls on September 10, 2022, Sunday (11/9).

“For what, because for the first time, this exercise deploys amphibious ships. Means bigger than frigates, but also with F-35 Stealth fighter aircraft for the first time in history,” continued Andika.

Later in the exercise, Andika left a message to the Chief of Naval Staff (Kasal) Admiral Yudo Margono to take advantage of the opportunity. Where to involve juniors and seniors during practice.

“The junior generation, the senior generation are all included so that they don’t just disappear. The previous generation before and now has not experienced that. Similar to yesterday’s Super Garuda Shield, we had the opportunity to see, for example, the Poseidon reconnaissance plane, which hopefully one day when we have the Navy, so, not only the Air Force, the Navy must also have one at some point,” he explained.

Andika added that all opportunities and opportunities for joint training between the TNI and the armed forces of friendly countries will lead to achievements.

“That’s why we are trying to fight for, for example, our operations abroad, at UNIFIL in Lebanon, so the Maritime Task Force, our Maritime Task Force, we are fighting for so that budget support from the UN can really meet operational needs,” Andika explained.

“So that whatever KRI we send later, it will take turns, it can do its job optimally,” he continued.

Therefore, continued Andika, the TNI must be able to live with the maximum available budget.

“We can. We have to be smart. Whoever we are, even though we are not people who have it all, we must also be able to optimize. And I can prove that we will be able to do it as long as all the main officers of the Navy support it,” concluded Andika.
