Merdeka.com – Metro Police Jakarta West collaborated with Indosiar and SCTV to distribute basic food packages to online motorcycle taxi drivers. Assistance is given to ease the economic burden after the increase in fuel prices (BBM).
The assistance provided was 100 food packages containing vegetable oil, instant noodles, soy sauce, flour, tea bags, sugar, and rice. The distribution of the basic food packages was carried out at the Pesing Police Promoter Flats, Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta, Thursday (22/9).
West Jakarta Metro Police Deputy AKBP Bismo Teguh Prakoso said this assistance came from Indosiar and SCTV in collaboration with West Jakarta Metro Police.
“The food package assistance was given to ease the burden on the community, especially online motorcycle taxi drivers (ojol) after the increase in fuel prices,” Bismo said in a written statement, Thursday (22/9).
Bismo praised the ojol who contributed to maintaining public security and order. “Thank you to the ojol colleagues who have helped contribute to maintaining the Harkamtibmas in West Jakarta,” said Bismo.
He hopes that this activity will further increase the closeness between the Police and ojol drivers in West Jakarta.
“Hopefully the assistance that has been received can slightly reduce the economic burden after the increase in fuel prices,” he said.
Meanwhile, Gojek community builder in West Jakarta, Soplo expressed his gratitude for the assistance of basic food packages from the West Jakarta Metro Police as well as Indosiar and SCTV.
“This assistance means a lot, sir. God willing, we will use this assistance to meet our daily needs,” he said.
