Metro, Suara.com- The Bandarlampung City Government held Begawi activities and Bandar Lampung Expo as a series of the city’s 340th Anniversary which is expected to increase regional economy The Begawai and Bandar Lampung Expo activities will be held from Saturday (16/7) to Sunday (24/7).
“This activity is one of the government’s efforts to improve the regional economy, but for economic revival it requires the cooperation of all elements of society,” said Bandarlampung Mayor Eva Dwiana, in Bandarlampung, Sunday as reported by Antara Lampung.
Eva also hopes that this activity can also become a market medium for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) who have supported the economy during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Hopefully Bandarlampung Expo can become a market medium for superior products produced by MSME actors in this city,” he said.
Meanwhile, Head of the Bandarlampung City Tourism Office, M Yudhi, said that through this activity, it is hoped that the tourism sector can increase income for the community and local government,” he said.
In addition, he said that Begawi and Bandar Lampung Expo have the aim of motivating and fostering community unity and integrity so that they can actively participate in developing Bandar Lampung City. A number of activities were held such as healthy walks, qosidah competitions, music performances, Muli Mekhanai elections, and solo song competitions.
“This activity is also to foster the love of the younger generation about the importance of national unity through aesthetic values and regional philosophies, increase the fighting spirit in achieving unity and unity, and introduce the potential of tourism in this city,” he said.
