Suara.com – The body of Mahmud Ismaun, one of the victims of the shooting of the Papuan armed group arrived at the funeral home in Palu, Central Sulawesi Province, Sunday (17/7/2022) afternoon.
“It was planned for Monday, but it turned out to have arrived today at Mutiara Sis Al-Jufri Airport and we immediately picked up the body,” said Nur Aisyah, the victim’s wife when met at the funeral home in Palu, Sunday.
She explained that her husband had worked in Papua for a long time as a driver for a high-ranking official in Nduga Regency, Papua.
The work that was carried out was the only source of livelihood for the 53-year-old man to support his four children and wife.
“Before working in Papua, my husband worked in Palu as an electrical installation interpreter. His intention was to move to work there (Papua) so that he could strengthen the family’s economy. The late advised, if his son is not yet a graduate, he will not go home, it turned out like this, “said Aisha.
Ismaun’s body arrived at Bandar Mutiara Sis Al-Jufri using Lion Air flight number JT 854 at around 17.00 WITA, and his family immediately picked him up to be taken to the funeral home on Jalan Tanjung Angin, Palu.
“Before arriving in Palu, the plane transited at Hasanuddin Airport in Makassar,” he said.
Information received from the family, the body will be prayed at the funeral home and then buried in the family cemetery on Monday 18 June 2022.
The atmosphere of the funeral home until this evening was still crowded with mourners, both family, sacred and neighbors. (Between)
