Merdeka.com – Dewi Dahliana (50), a resident of Hamlet I Gang Makmur, Dagang Kerawan Village, Tanjung Morawa District, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra, suffered serious injuries after being stabbed by her ex-husband, Monday (19/9) at around 09.00 WIB yesterday.
Tanjung Morawa Police Chief AKP Firdaus Kemit said the stabbing occurred while the victim was riding his motorcycle. At that time he had just returned from shopping from the market.
“Arriving at the location, the victim was stopped by the perpetrator Sumartono (the victim’s ex-husband) who came from behind on a motorbike too,” said Kemit, Tuesday (20/9).
Then, the suspect immediately assaulted his ex-wife and slashed a machete into the victim’s face.
“At that time the victim asked for help from local residents. Residents who saw the victim was covered in blood helped him and the perpetrator immediately fled,” said Kemit.
Kemit continued, the victim was taken by residents to go to the Bandar Labuhan Village Office to get treatment.
“By Bandar Labuhan Village officers the victim was taken to Mitra Sehat Hospital for treatment. After that, he was referred to the Grand Medistra Lubuk Pakam Hospital,” he said.
As a result of the incident the victim suffered serious injuries to the face and cannot be questioned. Police also do not know the motive for the stabbing and are still hunting for the suspect.
