Merdeka.com – The Kediri City Government provides social welfare guarantees to 261 marbut or mosque guards in the city. They are registered as BPJS Employment participants.
“The Kediri City Government will cover the fees for the marbut through Baznas,” said Assistant for Economics and Development of the City of Kediri, Ferry Djatmiko through his remarks at the debriefing event for mosque takmir, socialization of BPJS Employment membership for the marbut in Kediri City, Wednesday (21/9). ).
In the event, which was held in the Kediri City Mosque hall, Ferry revealed that the source of the funds for the payment of these contributions came from zakat, infaq, and alms for the ASN of the City of Kediri which were channeled through Baznas.
“We also express our gratitude and appreciation to Baznas for allocating infaq to ensure the welfare of the mosque’s marbut”, added Ferry.
At the same location, the Chairman of PD DMI Kediri City, Abu Bakar Abdul Jalil, expressed his gratitude for the program initiated by the Kediri City Government.
“Alhamdulillah, we are grateful for this program. Marbut has always been sincere and passionate about managing mosques in his area. Of course, with this support, apart from providing protection guarantees, we also hope that marbut will also be more comfortable, calm, and optimal in carrying out their profession,” said this man who is familiarly called Gus Ab.
